How would you translate some of the following Corrs song phrases into Irish? I have an idea but I want to make sure so I don't sound silly! Go raibh maith agaibh! -Anám S. "You're forgiven, not forgotten" "Go on, leave me breathless" "In the heat of summer sunshine" "Leave me alone" |

And all sound even cornier in Irsih than in the original English. What do you intend to do with them? |

Thanks so much! My friends and I want to sing along in Irish. Maybe one day we'll get around to translating more of the songs! Cheers, Anám |

I remember when I was eleven, at irish college in Balbriggin, we translated Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' into Irish. God, it was awful. I have heard much buchary of Dylan's work since, but none matched. I have since come to realise that the Irish language is suited to many things, but rock is not one of them. |
