Tá mé fós ag léamh "Tnúthán an Dúchais" agus tá ag éirí liom go han mhaith, cé bhfuil sé mall go leor. Tá ceist agam faoi abairt ann. An abairt: "Ainneoin go raibh Colm chomh grádiaúil agus chomh diaganta le haon duine dár tháinig riamh ar a chine, ba mhinic, gan fhios dó féin, a thagadh carghas air scaradh le pingin an Aifreann Dé Domhnaigh." Cén fáth a bhfuil "thagadh" ann san áit "thiocadh"? Ni raibh mé in ann "tagadh" a fháil i mo fhoclóir.

Tháinig sé ( Past )
Tagann sé ( Present )
Tiocfaidh sé ( Future )

Thiocfadh sé ( Conditional, formed from Future )
Thagadh sé ( Past Habitual, formed from Present )

"Thiocadh" isn't a word.

"ooops!" na Gaeilge?

Feileann 'óra ' dhiabhail' dom féin an chuid is mó den am.

Other options depending on negativity/positivity factors can be 'a chac', 'a mh'anam' agus a leithéid.
