Christina, a chara, When you're counting people: 1 person = duine or duine amháin or aon duine amháin; 2 - 10 people = beirt, triúr, ceathrar, cúigear, seisear, seachtar, ochtar, naonúr, deichniúr; 11 people = aon duine dhéag, aon bhean déag, aon fhear déag; 12 people = dáréag Above 12, you use: trí dhuine dhéag - seacht nduine dhéag etc. For example, 32 = beirt is triocha. Le meas, Larry. |
