All of my books show how to count up to ten people only. How do you count 11, 12 etc. people or 20, 21 etc.people? Go raibh míle maith agat.

Christina, a chara,

When you're counting people:

1 person = duine or duine amháin or aon duine amháin;

2 - 10 people = beirt, triúr, ceathrar, cúigear, seisear, seachtar, ochtar, naonúr, deichniúr;

11 people = aon duine dhéag, aon bhean déag, aon fhear déag;

12 people = dáréag

Above 12, you use:
trí dhuine dhéag - seacht nduine dhéag etc. For example, 32 = beirt is triocha.

Le meas,

Larry.
