My Grandaughter is approaching her second christmas. Her Mamaí speaks gaeigle to her all the time. I speak poor gaeigle in her company, but with the help of this forum I hope to surprise her with the correct version of " What would you like from Santa"

Help please,

Le Grá

Ursula

You might like to get this book (if the Birth of Christ is the important thing in Christmas for you)

http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=5016

quote:

Scéal na Nollag
Hisako Aoki / Ivan Gantschev
An Gúm 1986

Scéal gleoite ina bhfaigheann Daidí na Nollag caoi le fíor bhrí scéal na chéad Nollag a insint d'ainmhithe na coille.

A delightful story where Father Christmas finds an apt opportunity to relate the real meaning of the first Christmas to the animals of the forest.

Reading books to children is a wonderful way of giving them the language and keeping your own skills honed!

To the tune of Jingle Bells:

Ó, Bualadh bos,
Bualadh bos,
Bualadh bos go léir,
Tá Daidí na Nollag ag teacht anocht,
Anuas an simléar.

Ar an 'nglúin' (!) eile, níl agam féin ach é (le scáileán sách mór).
