You can get the pdf with the soundfiles included at http://sangallensis.150m.com/Irish/TYI1961.pdf and the sound files are clear

If you do, all the mp3 files will be linked to the TYI1961 pdf doc; and you'll be able to activate the individual mp3s by clicking on the corresponding words, or passages, in the pdf. the soundfiles are embedded, just click on a word in the vocab, or a sentece in the exercise and it will play it(should anyways).

the PDF I downloaded from http://sangallensis.150m.com/Irish/TYI1961.pdf already had the soundfiles embedded in it, unlike the older version from cork Irish's site.

please contact the copyright holders, Hodder and Stoughton, and tell them that they ought to be circulating this themselves, (that is, if you like it).
I have offered it to them, with any back up files they might need, and even details as to how it could be adjusted for improvement, at no cost to them apart from administration.
I have explained that the work is 'Pro Deo', and if anyone cares to show appreciation, there is always the Japanese Disaster Fund.
