I'm trying to translate Johnny Duhan's "Don't Give Up Till It's Over". Any help would be appreciated for translating and rewording to make it singable.

Ná héirigh as go an deireadh/Ná géill go bun an angair (Don't give up till it's over)
más féidir leat ná ghéill (Don't quit if you can)
is é an trom ar do ghualainn (The weight that's upon your shoulder)
a gcuirfeadh thú i d'fhear níos laidir. (will make you a stronger man)

Greamaigh do neantóg go crua (Grasp your nettle tightly)
though it will burn (cé go ndóifidh sí)
Láimhsigh go socair do theipí (Treat your failures lightly)
Tá d’ádh chun filleadh (your luck is bound to turn)

Féach ar na bláthanna fómharacha (Look at the autumn flowers)
ina gcríonadh is ina sleabhacadh (how they wither and fade)
Le gcumhacht an nádúir i bhfolach (With nature's hidden powers)
next year they'll be re-made (an bhliain seo chugainn déanfar iad arís)

Féach ar an ngealach lán agus é ina éirí (Watch the full moon rising)
mar taibhse na gréine (like a ghost of the sun)
Ó.beidh breacadh an lae níos iontach (Oh, dawn will be more surprising)
nuair a dtósnaíonn lá nua (when a new day has begun)

A shorter form of it as a poem. Any corrections?

go bun an angair
ná héirí as mar tá an trom
a gcuirfidh thú neart

cé go ndóifidh sí
greamaigh neantóg go crua
tá d’ádh chun filleadh

is féach ar an mbláth
atá ag críonadh sa fómhar
déanfar í arís

féach ar an ngealach
‘tá mar taibhse na gréine
tósnaíonn lá nua

Thank you,

Tim

This would be my attempt at verse three (poetic licence included):

Féach ar bhláthanna an fhómhair
iad ag feo is ag tréigean leo.
Le fuinneamh ceilte an nádúir
déanfar san athbliain iad as an nua.

Is geal leis an bhfiach dubh a ghearrcach féin.
