Stephen Fry is making a programme for BBC on minority languages, and apparently will appear in Ros na Rún.

He is also doing a documentary on lesser spoken languages.I can't wait to see Ros na Rún,beidh blas 'posh' ar a chuid Gaeilge! But fairplay for having the b*lls to do it.Theres a couple of English learners at our cómhrá,this will perk them up.

What't the Irish for Stephen Fry? Stiofán Friochta? Will SF be the new Des Bishop?

Fry = "Free" = "saor" >> Mac an tSaoir? Sayers? Stíbhín Mac Pheig?

Peig's paternal granda was English. But maybe Sayers is a form of Mac an tSaoir,I'd never thought of that.So all he has to do is get spliced to some native speaker and live on Inis Oir for the rest of his days.He will take over TG4 of course,as it is you can't watch the Beeb or listen to Radio 4 without hearing his plummy tones!

Fair play dó. Tá sé duine an shuimiúl. Cén dáta a mbeidh sé ar siúl ar an teilifís?

Uair éigin sa bhliain seo chugainn ar Rós na Rún. Níl fhios agam cén uair a chraolfar an chlár a thug anseo ar dtúis é.
