I have mentioned before how the price of second-hand books has been lurching upwards, almost solely due to price gouging by Dublin Bookbrowsers which buys up many of the secondhand books coming on the market. I just purchased An Rábaire Bán by Nioclás Tóibín, 1928 edition. Now did I pay $39 for the one being offered for sale by Bardic Books or $192 for the identical one held by Dublin Bookbrowsers? Back in the days, they used to "tar and feather" people in Ireland - and we need to bring that old tradition back for certain booksellers.
