I feel like a bit of a plonker for posting this link to a document on my 'learning Irish' blog but I thought it might be a help to other foghlaimeoirí like myself..

It's a list of all the main colours translated into Irish- it covers most of the basic ones and some examples of how they are used in descriptions- got them from different sources- mainly De Bhalraithe and Focal.ie and Ó Dónaill so at least they are all together.

Hope it saves someone else some time anyway!

I remember trying to come up with "powdery blue" for the blue potato spray. I just came up with "gorm púdraithe" which probably would raise question marks among the natives. Thanks for the list. Does this mean you're going to post to your blog regularly.
