Fiche Blian ag Fás that is edited in some way. Next you have trouble with a translation that is abridged in some way. Same with another translation.
All I can tell you is to not buy the books and complain to the publishers. You can probably get an older copy from a used book store or from a library. Since you know how the other texts deviate, you seem to have (or have had) access to an authentic copy.
As for the copyright, that may have nothing to do with editing, but may be a holder of the copyright from his estate.
As for translations, it sounds like there may be a gap. Who will fill it?
