Dear all,

I’m a PhD student based at the University of Melbourne and I'm in Boston and New York for the next few weeks conducting research on Irish language learning here. I'm hoping to speak with as many people as possible who learn (or teach or use) the language. This research will contribute to a broader study of identity and motivation in minority language learning.

I'm in Boston for the next couple of weeks and in New York in early Feb, and wondered if anyone would be so kind as to meet with me. The interviews typically take between 30 and 40 minutes and I'm happy to meet you anywhere and any time that is convenient.

I'm also keen to get in touch with speakers/learners in other areas of the U.S. and Canada. If you would be willing to complete a questionnaire on your experiences with the Irish language I'm happy to email or post it to you.

If you are interested, or know of someone else who might be, please email me at or call me on 8572078840.

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Jill Vaughan

Mmm... nár chóir go mbeadh "Scoil Ghaeilge" ann, in áit "Scoil Gaeilge" ?

Learn Irish pronunciation here: http://loig.cheveau.ifrance.com/irish/irishsounds/irishsounds.html & http://fsii.gaeilge.org/

Tá buailte sa teideal an scóil, scríofa sa tseanchló (leithscéal lag b'fhéidir ach níl mise in ann breithiúnas a thabhairt!).
