The only quibble I have with Abigail's translation is that the sense of into the night is not conveyed. Is this a metaphor for death? In any case it would be easier to substitute darkness for night Siúil liom isteach sa dorchadas, agus mé i ngreim láimhe chaoin agat Walk with me into the darkness and me in gentle handclasp with you |
