If somebody is busting your chops in Irish, and you want to say in Irish,"Gimme a break, willya!!" how do you say it in correct/slang/street Irish?!

Lig dom! = "Leave me alone!" "Let me be!"
Lig as! = "Ease off!" "Lay off!"
Lig díot! = "Give over!"

For the "willya", you might try adding a mhic ó or a mhac = "boyo", or your choice of any of the hundreds of "terms of endearment" available in Irish, e.g.:

Lig as, a mhic ó!

Tóg go bog é! = "Take it easy!" or (Éist) do bhéal! = "Shut your mouth!" also come to mind, depending on your mood and degree of familiarity with the recipient...

"Lig dom!" is a little mild in this context!
The stronger Irish slang is probably unappropriate for this page!

If you had a few bodyguards at your disposal you could say it like Silken Thomas: "Beir uaim an bodach!"

Is geal leis an bhfiach dubh a ghearrcach féin.

Is minic a deir Nóra na gCosa Lofa "Bain aghaidh do bhéil díom" le Caitríona Pháidín nuair bhíonn siad ag sciolladóireacht lena chéile sa leabhar Cré na Cille le Máirtín Ó Cadhain. Is dóigh liom gurb shin an Ghaeilge ar "Gimme a break, willya!": Bain aghaidh do bhéil díom.

Cinn eile:
Éist! Is leor sin! Is minic a bhris béal duine a shrón!
Gread leat, a bhastaird, nó roinnfidh mé feac na láí ort!
Scrios leat, a spriosáinín ghránna, (gránna?) nó sáfaidh mé an tsluasaid seo trí do ghimide!

Go raibh maith agat. :-)

Ceann eile a chuala mé: "~~~~ nó is duitse is measa!"

Éirigh as an gcaint* sin nó is duitse is measa!

as an gciapadh
as an bhfeannadóireacht
as an sciolladóireacht

'Tis with great apprehension that I write on this page what I would say to a ball-buster! 'Tis X-rated and all discretion is advised!!

"Gimme a break, willya">>"Foc an diabhail ort a chac!!"
Maith dhomsa as mo chuid droch-Ghaeilge anseo!!

Sin droch bhéarla, a Harp!

Leagan Gaeilge: Go scriosa a diabhail thú, a chonús caca!

Nó "Leirscrios agus ár ort"

Nó an ceann seo: "Lá breá ag do chairde ... dod adhlacadh!"

B'fhiú duit an leabhar seo d'fháil:

A a chara-GRMA as do chomhairle!

An bhfuil cóip(cúl páipéir) agat “Ó Ghlíomáil go Giniúint-Foclóir na Collaíochta?”
Féach ar leathanach a 34 agus feicfidh tú “Foc .. …….. …!”

Ar thaobh tá Gaeilge na scolaíochta agus ar an taobh eile tá Gaeilge na cúlsráide!

Bíonn an bheirt Ghaeilge ag an nGaeilgeoir, nach ea!??

Is deacair an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim go ceart ina iomláine!
Mise féin, bímse ag foghlaim go fóill gach aon lá!!

Le meas,

"bíodh agat!" is another useful phrase for "right back at ya" or "feck off" if someone is giving you a hard time

Beidh fhios agam go bhfuil mo chuid Ghaeilge feabhsaithe agam nuair a usáideann mé é sa seomra leapa! Nuair a bhfuil an lá sin ag teacht, tabharfaidh mé an leabhar sin do mo bhean chéile!

Táim ag léamh "Lig Sinn i gCathú" ag an am seo agus tá "foc" a fheiceáil ann. Bhí Robert Emmet, an fear bocht, ina hábhar an mallachta sin, chomh fhada is a cuimhin liom.
