In case I butchered that, I was going for "Pronunciation of the Article" -- so I guess technically my first question is, did I do that right?

Secondly, as regards its pronunciation, habitually it's reduced to an unstressed schwa before many nouns beginning with a consonant.

However, is it so reduced before nouns to which it prefixes a t or t-, or is it pronounced entirely? For example:

an t-úlla,
an tsúil

Is the n pronounced in either or both articles, or is it reduced to that unstressed schwa?

GRMA.

Yes, rinne tú i gceart é.

I pronounce the whole thing: /ǝɴt/
quote:

an t-úlla

That's not, as it happens, a possible combination.

an t-úll = the apple /ǝɴt uːʟ/
na húlla = the apples

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."

Go raibh maith agat a Dhonnacha!

That's not, as it happens, a possible combination.

Tá mé fós le "Learning Irish" ... agus deir Ó Siadhail gur "úlla" apple! Oy.
