Back in with An Braon Broghach: "Feictear dom dá sínínn mo lámh uaim go sciochfainn mám réaltóg den spéir; nó dá gcuirinn séideog faoin luaith chaillte sin ansin, go gcruthódh sí ina trilseáin filíochta." Thanks |

Take a stab at it and then I'll fill in the blanks. Especially if you tell me where to find the passage in context. |

It's on page 68-69. A translation by me: It seems to me that if I had stretched my hand out, I would have got mom a star from the sky; or however I had put a sniff about these lost ashes here, it would have turned out they were a string of poetry. ????????? Is it a correct translation? be my guest and correct what needs to be corrected. Thanks |

Close. Some keywords. mám [ainmfhocal baininscneach den tríú díochlaonadh] lán láimhe. (Mom is "mam" without the fada). séideog a chuir faoin luaith - to blow into the ash to kindle them caillte in this case means dead caillte [aidiacht den tríú díochlaonadh] imithe ar iarraidh; básaithe. |

An bhfeiceann tú gur gá aithne seanainmfhocail a bheith nuair a léann duine ar bith An Braon Broghach? Grmma faoi seo. |

Tá saibhreas cainte ag an gCadhnach, ach tá na nathanna úd fós sa chaint anois. |
