A chairde, 2 days ago I visited Gaeltacht Bhuan Mheiriceá Thuaidh near to the village of Tamworth Ontario. At the Ghaeltacht sign,I turned into the "one-car" wide winding lane which took me to an empty clearing - except for pebbles and weeds - in an overgrown field. The next-door farmer told me he had heard there was to be some building started last summer but that it has been very quiet since then. Maybe some of our other Canadian Gaeilgeorí will be able to give us some information as to what is happening in Tamworth? |

From what I recall the plan was a gradualist one. Annual summer camps leading to (over time) permanent buildings being built and a community forming. The "Buan" part was that they now have the land for the task. |

Seeing my grandson Rónán is not quite 5, I will still have time to get him up to Tamworth and summer camp and Gaeilge. I just hope it's sooner rather than later! |
