Grá mo chroí thú go deo is go brách 'Rath Dé agus bail Phádraig ar a bhfeicfidh mé ó éireoidh mé ar maidin go gcodlóidh mé san oíche'

Or dozens of other ways to say it... 'Rath Dé agus bail Phádraig ar a bhfeicfidh mé ó éireoidh mé ar maidin go gcodlóidh mé san oíche'

Mo ghrá thú - Love you Grá mo chroí thú - Love of my heart Is tú mo chroí is m'anam - My heart & my soul Always could be translated as i gcónaí choíche go deo go deo na ndeor Perhaps if we knew the context we could give the most suitable translation.. A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river

Hi many thanks for your responses. I wanted to have 'love you always' inscribed in a ring if not too long to fit!!!!! We always sign cards & end texts with love you always so in that context i guess. |
