I posted a couple weeks ago about a new copy of Learning Irish I bought that began to fall apart immediately after I started using it. Well, I sent a letter to Yale University Press, requesting a new one, and I got a brand new wrapped one today in the mail. So I know at least one other person had commented that they had the same issue with the book but Yale Pr. had been unhelpful. So I just thought I'd comment that they did respond to my letter and were very generous and prompt in backing up their product.

That's quite decent of them. Was this book the book of the same name by Mícheál Ó Siadhail (I'm new to this site, so I didn't read your earlier post)? If so, I've had my copy for a few weeks and it's holding up quite well to my abuse so far.

I hope these are isolated cases, because decent Irish coursebooks are hard enough to come by in some places, without them falling apart on you!

Sin é, a Roilbeárd. It's the most recent edition, Pap/Com.

Here's the thread I posted earlier:

Tá an leabhar é féin go hiontach ar aon chaoi. The only real way to learn Irish on your own, as far as I'm concerned. Sounds like there may just have been a bad batch. Others with the same edition reported that their copies were fine.
