quote:

On paper, it reads like every schoolgirl's nightmare -- being cooped up in a remote boarding school where boys aren't allowed and everybody is compelled to speak Irish.

Yet Colaiste Ide in Dingle, Ireland's only all-Irish, all-girl, seven-day boarding school, is practically turning pupils away. The Co Kerry school has only a handful of places left for its forthcoming academic year -- having been booked out for the past four years.

I have been there and seen it while in An Daingean. It looks nice but I'm opposed to the concept of sending children away to boarding school so anything I were to say on the matter would be colored by that prejudice. The only time I think children should be sent to boarding school is if they havn't any family or adult friends to keep them.
