For anyone who own a copy of
First Steps in Irish by the Christian Brothers but who may have had difficulty working through it on their own, please be advised that there is a new Yahoo group (
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/firststepsinirish) which will begin studying the lessons of that book together later this month.
This small book contains 28 graded lessons suitable for the beginner or for revision. The new
FSII Yahoo Group will study one lesson together per week. Audio files and answer keys for this book are available at

For those unfamiliar with this book, it is primarily a grammar workbook, and teaches a variant of "standard" Irish that features some vocabulary which is more common to Ulster.
