The names of the letters in the Ogam alphabet have been sometimes applied to the Latin alphabet in Ireland and Scotland. Here's a site for the Ogam names:

http://www.csupomona.edu/~jcclark/ogham/ogh-alph.html

Here's a Scottish Gaelic version in Latin alphabetical order of the 18 letters that comprise the traditional Gaelic alphabet:

ailm, beith coll, dair, eadha, fearn, gort, (h)uath, iogh, luis, muin, nuin, onn, beith bhog, ruis, suil, teinne, ur

I think this use of Ogam names for Latin letters is a fairly recent development.

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."

"orginal pronunciations of the letters of the Irish alphabet"

Swill it about. Just think of all the misconceptions that that phrase covers. No doubt the druids were using trees names before St Patrick. Not.
