Please, translate the phrase "remember about the dream".
This question i've found on one forum, and one guy (who don't speak Irish, but has a friend who does) translated it like
chuimhnigh an taibhreamh
I was not sure at all, whether it was right, so I proposed my translation
cuimhnigh ar taibhreamh
This guy said the irish friend doesn't like this version and says it means "remember our dream".
I was confused and answered, that "remember our dream" would be something like: cuimhnigh ar ár dtaibhream (with Eklipse!)
I want to believe that the irish should know better than me since he has attended school in ireland (in Dublin). But...please say the right translation of the phrase.
P.S. I suppose one could say "remember the dream" without this preposition ar. But how should i interpret the lenition of the first word? |

As far as I know, the verb "cuimhnigh" always uses the preposition "ar".
Remember the dream = Cuimhnigh ar an taibhreamh
Remember a dream = Cuimhnigh ar thaibhreamh
Remember our dream = Cuimhnigh ar ár dtaibhreamh
