I have a rough draft of what I think it might be but I could really use some help in getting it as gramatically correct as possible. What I have so far is as follows:

The problem with translating it is that it is riddled with ambiguity and puns.

Mo mhuirnse * Muireann * thar mhuireanna áille * críoch,
My love * is Muireann * above all beautiful women * of the territory

Mo mhuirn * do Mhuireann * do mhuireann * ag tál na dí,
My love * to Muireann * who lives * distributing drink

Cé muirn le * Muireann * mo mhuireann * chun cláir ag suí
While loves * Muireann * my habit (?)* to be sitting at table

Not loves * Muireann * my habit(?) * every time not paying

I'm not sure what "mo mhuireann" means exactly in the second pair of lines; muireann means many things.

Probably in the same that some can find the song "O Mio Babino Caro" beautiful without understanding Italian
