Would someone translate this for me? Thankyou?

Cuimnigh, a bhfear; tá tú deannach, agus tiontóidh tá go deannach.

It's pretty dodgy Irish, a Phádraig, but it seems to be an attempt at: "Remember, man; you are dust and you will turn to dust (and to dust you will return)." Here's the whole of Gen. 3:19 from the Maigh Nuad Bible:

Le hallas do ghrua
is ea a íosfaidh tú do chuid aráin
go bhfillfidh tú ar an talamh
mar is as a tháinig tú.
Óir is luaithreach thú,
agus ar an luaithreach is ea a fhillfidh tú.

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."

Go raibh maith agat. What about the "cuimhnigh, a bhfear?" Does that flow in common usage, or is it also dodgy Irish? Everything I come up with is very literal because I have no spoken Irish as a frame of reference.

Ní maith é an duine a bheith leis féin.

"Cuimhnigh" is fine. For the vocative "o man!" you'll want "a fhear".

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."
