A few nóiméid ago...

I was skimming through the foclóir when I came across a word that struck me as interesting...

Gaeltacht vs. Gealtacht

Gaeltacht = Irish Speaking Area
Gealtacht = Insanity

Coincidence? ;0)

I am not who I think I am, I am not who you think I am, I am who I think you think I am.

Is féidir imirt le "geal" agus "Gael" freisin. A traditional nickname for Galway is the "Gealchathair" (Bright City). It is also, but most reckonings today, the "Gaelchathair" -- the most "Gaelic" city in Ireland.

Is luaithe deoch ná sgéal,
is duine mé ar a mbíonn tart;
ní hé an sgéal fada is fearr,
acht an sgéal gearr ar a mbí blas.
