Translating from an earlier stage of a language to modern idiom presents unique dilemmas: you want to stick to the original as closely as possible, but if you stick too close the outcome is stilted in the modern language.

As a paraphrase:
Cúis náire dom an méid a éalaíonn mo smaointe uaim.

Other solutions? I suppose it really depends a lot on how the "translation" is meant to be used.
