A Chairde,

Bhí mé ar shiúl le seachtain seo anuas. Cronaim na comhráite - thar ceathracha snáth! Beidh mé ag léamh le cúpla lá. Tá an háit seo go hiontach don ag foghlaim Gaeilge!

I would have liked to have participated in the threads, but I will wait until the issues arise again, as they often seem to do. And, as I said, I am still reviewing them.

However, for those involved in the Catalan discussion and all who enjoy movies dealing with language, I recall a wonderful French film called The Apartment in English that deals with a group of students studying in Catalan and dealing with everything being taught in that language when the students knew Spanish. English became the Lingua Franca of the group of people who came from around the world and were now living in the apartment.

Hmm, perhaps we should make a movie dealing with this forum ...

Slán go fóill,

Mícheál

GRMA, Diarmo, for the French title from imdb. That is a great site for movie listings, nach bhfuil? We use it before we order from Netflix or go to the video store. Listed were the alternate titles:

Also Known As:
Pot Luck (Canada: English title) (UK)
Auberge espagnole, L' (USA)
Casa de locos, Una (Spain)
Euro Pudding (International: English title)
The Spanish Apartment (USA)

And Jonas, you will be glad to see that it says, "Together, they speak the international language of love and friendship." rather than English!

Domhnall, you could do the as Gaeilge version! LOL.

Bain sult as,

Mícheál
