A Chairde! Do you think it would be a good idea to start a petition to get Ireland's biggest newspaper to start doing some articles in the Irish language? They seem only to want to say negative things about the language and people who support it! Isn't it time to do something about that?? |

yeah! I'd sign it. they mightn't have any journalists that could write as Gaeilge tho...a job for ye? ;) a thought, would also want to be able to read these proposed articles!!! they'd either want several levels of difficulty or one that is written simply otherwise it would defeat the purpose of doing it-i.e. it would be a great idea and lovely and symbolic and making the right impression but actually the vast majority of people wouldn't be able to read it or wouldn't be bothered struggling through it. (ps i would struggle through it ;) |

I don't know if the proprietor "Sir Anthony" O'Reilly is very friendly towards anything Irish. He seems to be a squireen, a seóinín in the classic mould. How sad, in this day and age. |
