Bród Gaelach Bród na nGael The difference between these two is that a) The former simply associates the pride with the concept of "Irishness". It does not imply ownership. b) The latter forms a possessive relationship. Not only a possessive relationship, but a definite posessive relationship. For instance, if it were simly: Bród Gael it would mean: Irishmens' Pride but it doesn't specifically refer to a specific group of Irish people. But with: Bród na nGael "na nGael" is the posessive case of "na Gaeil", which means "The Irish people". So when you have "Bród na nGael", you've got a very close posessive relationship. As for "Mórtas" Vs. "Bród", sorry I can't help you, I've only ever seen the word "bród". |
