A chairde,

some time ago there was a link here to a site about a festival of some kind, and among other things you could download a few live recordings from that festival...

I liked one song in particular: "Bean a' Leanna" which was sung by Caitríona Ní Cheannabháin. I tried to find the lyrics on the net but failed so far.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me.

Le meas,

sgm

I did a google on "Bean a' Leanna" and found this at the top of the search's list.

The lyrics on this website are for "Bean an Leanna." Sounds like the same thing, but I'm not sure.

This posting may come across twice, but I found the lyrics to "Bean an Leanna" (woman of the beer) at http://academic.evergreen.edu/w/williams/songs/bean_an_leanna.html

Pretty good phonetic guide also.

A Dáithí,

go raibh míle maith agat!
Although the lyrics are not complete (the song I have is a lot longer...) it is definatly a start. Why didn't I reach that result when I did a google on it? The ways of the net...

Again, thanks a lot.

Tá fáilte romhat a sgm. Tá neacht agam agus freastalaíonn sí Evergreen. (I have a niece and she attends Evergreen). What a coincidence!

A Dáithí,

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean...
Nevertheless, I'm singing right now - as much as I can ;-)

le meas,

sgm
