I am trying to find a translation for the common American saying "Love conquers all"...but I cannot find one. Could someone please help me?
Also, I am in search of a really great tattoo design--I have a green and black celtic knot clover on my foot, but I am looking for another Irish design (fairly small, but breathtaking).

Ooh -- I stopped at the word challenge and hadn't read the rest of your message -- suppose it's not exactly ultra hip to tattoo bible verses on yer foot, but, if it would make the line come true, I might think about trying it . . . Ádh mór ort! |

One translation for "Love conquers all ", might be-
" Buann an gra thar gach rud ". |

Another translation for " Love conquers all ", though a non-literal one, could be- " Buann an gra i gconai " lit. "Love always wins ". |

Bethrua, a chara,
Mar eolas duit, the "American saying", "love conquers all", is from the Latin sententia "Amor vincit omnia".
The phrase is the inscription on the brooch worn by the prioress in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and is thought to be derived from "Omnia Vincit Amor et nos cedamus amori", which is from Vergil's Eclogues X, 69.
I don't know if either of these sources has been translated into Irish but if so, you might look to them for how they have translated the phrase.
