I was left a note in irish and am having some trouble with some words. There is a word that looks like 'díonat' and soemthing that looks like 'tolchat' or 'todchat' and 'croic' and 'seasaimhtá (this one's hard to make out)' and maybe 'nainn' or 'hainn' I can't find them anywhere. Also, 'abreir'... any help?

Ummmmmmm...think people are gonna have some trouble with that one. Can you type the sentences these words are in so we get the context

Perhaps:

díonat = dínit (dignity)

Seasaimhtá = Sheasfá (you would sit)

nainn/hainn = n-ainm / hainm ( their name / her name )

croic = cnoic (hills)

I'll try, it's handwritten so it's hard and that could be the source of the trouble, maybe the context will help.

B'fhéidir go bhfuil cluiche iomanatocht againn sa tolchat. Feichfidh mé thú níos díonat. Is glas iad ná croic atú i bhfad. Hainn Seasaimtha (could this be a name?) agus (name)

Thanks :^)

Feichfidh mé thú níos déanaí - I'll see you later.

Is glas iad na cnoic atá i bhfad - The faraway hills are green (i.e., "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence").

No idea about the rest, unless "iomanatocht" is "iontach", which would make sense.

B'fhéidir go bhfuil cluiche iomanatocht againn sa tolchat."

"B'fhéidir go mbeidh cluiche iománaíochta againn sa todhchaí"

"Maybe we will have a game of hurling in the future"

I agree with Alevans about the rest.

Great, that starts to make sense. Thanks very much, I'm sure some of this was obfucated by the handwriting. When I see what you guys think it might be, I can easily fit it into the chicken scratching.

Go raibh míle maith agat!
