Perhaps someone could modernise this forum. For example on other forums those contributing have IDs. The site keeps a record of the number of your posts, you can search through all posts by such a poster etc. Members of the community would be easily recognisable by their ID (and avatar) and there would be no mix up in people with the same name. Also people could if they wish link their name to a profile with contact details and other pieces of info, location etc.

I have recently joined that board, its nice!

I think it wouldn't do the boards any harm, if anything, it would be more inviting.

So little time and so much to do...

We have been testing a beta of a new board for the past month or so that does all that is mentioned (except for the avatar). Look for it in the new year.
