My name is Gavin...and I am tring to find the Irish equivalant for this name.

I have been trying to research the name for some time now and I am convinced it is a recent name. I have found it referenced as an off-shoot of the name Gwain which is Welsh I think. If there is no Irish name for it then can someone tell me or at least help me with the phonetics that would best represent the name. Here have been my thoughts:
