Several years ago, I received a copy of a journal article by a distant cousin of mine (now deceased) written in Irish. Would anyone be interested in trying to translate it to English? It's about six pages long. Based on my limited knowledge of Irish, it sounds like an interesting piece. A man in his nineties tells his story, from a small village in Co. Mayo, meeting Douglas Hyde in an Irish Language competition as a young boy, fighting in IRA during the Irish war for independence as a young man, and then back to his small town. Let me know whether you are interested.
