Wife and I just gave our gorgeous baby girl the middle name of Mairead. Could someone please give me the proper/definitive/absolute pronunciation of this spelling. Thank you very much.

Mairéad is generally pronounced MAH-raid. People with Munster (Southern) pronunciation will put the emphasis on the second syllable: mah-RAID. (Raid pronounced as if it were the English word 'raid'.)
