Dia duit! It is my pleasure to announce that cosmicradio.com plans to launch the world’s first-ever internet radio station for music exclusively in the Irish language.
The idea for an Irish language music station arose from my own interest in learning Irish. As a student of the Irish language, I have found the internet to be a wonderful resource for my studies. Irish language mailists and news radio stations have all proven to be invaluable tools. However, I soon found myself desiring a station for music in Irish.
After making several petitions to various organizations, cosmicradio.com replied that they would be willing to create such a station -- provided that I could get the music.
Because they are an independent internet company, they must get permission from each artist to play their music while attempting to generate an income. In turn, the company markets the music for the artists.
Here’s how it works in brief: send 11 of your CDs along with a one time $45 (US) start-up fee to cosmicradio.com. Cosmicradio.com will then play your music on its new Irish-language channel and set up a page to sell your music. It will add $2.99 to the asking price of your CD, the rest goes to you, the artist. If your CD contains songs in English as well as Irish, the English songs may be played on the company’s general Celtic music channel.
If we can can get sufficient music, the world’s first Irish-language internet music station will become a reality. I myself am very excited about the project, as I believe it will be both a boost to the language and a useful aid to its students, not to mention adding a unique station of wonderful music to the world wide web. We design a custom web page for your album on our own web site, with 2 full length songs in RealAudio.
We provide you with non-exclusive music distribution at TheCosmicStore™ with a 24 hour LIVE sales, order fulfillment, & shipping service. Ordering methods include real-time on-line & off-line ordering via e-commerce, standard mail, fax, or telephone service.
You will automatically become a Featured Artist with a banner that will be rotated throughout our web sites to help increase your album sales.
We give you an simple web address where you can tell people to buy your album (www.cosmicstore.com/yourbandsname).
We put you in the search engines and galleries on The Cosmic Entertainment Company™ web sites which are a unique and cutting edge web sites that cater to new music lovers worldwide!
We contact you every time your album is sold to tell you who bought it!
HOW THE MONEY WORKS:
You set your selling price at whatever you want, if you want $10.00 for every item sold then we pay you $10.00 "It really is that simple!"

There is a one time membership fee of $45.00 to set up a new album in our store, with everything we described above. (It takes us about 1 hour to put a new album in our store and get your music into our radio stations programing, charting, and database systems.) We will have you up and running in about 15 days from the time we get your package.
OTHER DETAILS:
This is a non-exclusive service & there are no contracts to sign. We're not a record label, we are an entertainment company. We promote bands / artists / & music groups on our radio & television station web sites, at the same we are a on-line record store. The advantage we have is that thousands of people a day come to hear and buy independent records like yours from us!
Your album must have quality sound, ie: scratchy or fuzzy sounding albums will NOT be played on the radio station, this would degrade our radio stations sound. If you have a concern about this please contact us, sometimes our mixer board can clean these sounds out.
You do not need a UPC bar code to sell your album in TheCosmicStore™.
You do not need to have your albums shrink wrapped, and yes you can sell a homemade CD-R. If you need help in finding a reasonable CD manufacture just ask us.
We do not accept mp3's, wav's, or real audio files! The reason we do not mess with these is because we use real DJ radio systems to create our radio station programs & album sound files. We then normalize the volume - just listen to us and you will notice that all of the songs we play have the same volume level, unlike other entertainment and record store web sites.
We report our weekly WorldMusicCharts™ Top 25 bands to CMJ - College Music Journal Magazine, CMJ New Music Report, The College 500 Report, The Professional Musicians Union - Hollywood California, and to our listeners worldwide.
You do not need to upload any graphics, or anything else. Just fill out our membership form, and send us 11 of your albums and we will do the rest. (one album will be used as our office copy)

If you do not get signed up for this system and get it working - your music will not be charted!

Tell us: What genre your music fits. This will help us get your music filed into our radio stations database quicker.
Tell us: What 1 song you want played. This should be the best song you have, do not leave this choice up to us, you know your music better then anyone! If you do not have an idea then ask your fans.
Include: A $10.00 new music filing fee. (It takes us about 10-15 minutes to put a new bands song into our radio stations programing, charting, and database systems.)

We guarantee to play & chart your music for 1 year on one of our GREAT radio stations! This is only good if you follow our rules listed above. If you would like to change the song we are playing you will need to pay another filing fee. You can only have 1 song played on a station at a time.
