All of these beautiful drawings are the work of Mary Pat Hyland (Máire Phádraicín Ní Aoláin). The laminated prints are produced on parchment style scroll paper, with a dark green border. Each measures approximately 8 1/2" X 11". Under each drawing is an Irish proverb, known as a "Seanfhocal", which relates to the people depicted in the drawing. Under the Seanfhocal an English translation is given in smaller print.
The Seanfhocal presented on this print is "Is túisce deoch na scéal", which in English means "A story requires a drink".
