Bheinn ag cur suas grianghraf radhairc álainn atá timpeall the Marist Brothers Retreat, ach le linn na seachtaine a bhí mé ann thug mé faoi deara grianghraf a bhímid ag dul thart air sa halla go minic gach lá. Chuir sé an smaoineamh i m’intinn cé mhéad dár ndaoine atá sna flaithis agus cén chaoi a d’athraigh ár mbeathaí le linn an dá bhliana déag seo caite. Bheadh bród mór ar Ethel as an mbealach a thugaimid uilig cabhair lena hobair ar son na Gaeilge.

I would normally be putting up a picture of the beautiful scenery that is around the Marist Brothers Retreat, but while attending the week I noticed a picture that we pass in the hallway many times everyday. It made me think about how many are no longer with us and how our lives have changed over the past 12 years. Ethel would be very proud of how we have all helped carry on her work promoting the Gaeilge.

I dtús na seachtaine b’iomaí an dalta gur mhian leis cúpla amhrán gaelach a bheith aige. Roimh deireadh na seachtaine thug Siobhán cuidiú linn amhráin gaelacha a fhoghlaim.

At the beginning of the week many of us wished we knew a couple of irish songs. By the end of the week Siobhán helped us do just that.

Bíonn rang ann i gcónaí i rith na seachtaine leis an rud a bhfuil suim agat ann. Oibríonn Daltaí go dian chun 'chuile dhuine a choimeád gnóthach.

There is always a class for what you're looking for during the week. Daltaí works very hard to keep everyone busy.

Ba mhaith liom Aoibhneas na Bealtaine a fhoghlaim, a Noel. Níl mé cinnte go bhfuil daoine go leor anseo anois le haghaidh Tonnaí Thoraigh.

I want to learn the Sweets of May, Noel. I’m not too sure there are enough people here right now for the Waves of Tory.

Tá a thuilleadh eolais móir againn faoi Mná na hÉireann, buíochas le Micheál. Bíonn a léachtaí buaicphointe na seachtaine i gcónaí.

We all know so much more about the Women of Ireland thanks to Michael. His lectures are always a highlight of the week.

I rith na seachtaine, fuair mé ceann de na cónaitheora sa choill! An gceapann tú go raibh an nathair ag snámh sa chomharsanacht le súil go bhfoghlaimeoidh sé roinnt Gaeilge?

During the week I came across one of the residents of the woods! Do you think that the snake has been slithering in the neighborhood in the hope that he can pick up some Gaeilge?

Má oibríonn na Gaeilgeoirí go crua air bheidís ina gcéad bhuaiteoirí eile de America's Got Talent.

If the Gaeilgeoirí work on it they could be the next winners of America's Got Talent.

Ba é Jenga cluiche na seachtaine. Chuaigh 'chuile dhuine i scuaine chun an chluiche seo a imirt gach oíche.

The game of the week was Jenga. Everyone was queued up to play each evening.

Bhí ar duine éigin an cluiche a chailleadh. Maith thú, a Éamoinn!

Someone had to lose. Good game, Éamonn!
