A chairde,

Mar is eol daoibh, bhí orainn an Deireadh Seachtaine Lán-Ghaeilge ar Long Beach Island a chur ar ceal i mbliana mar gheall ar an víreas marfach.  Bhí an-díomá agus drogall orainn é sin a dhéanamh, ach ní raibh laigheas againn air.  Anois, is oth linn a fhógairt go bhfuil orainn an cinneadh céanna a dhéanamh maidir le hEsopus faoi Bhealtaine (15 - 17 Bealtaine) agus Satharn na nGael (6 Meitheamh).  Níl ár ndóthain muiníne againn go mbeimis in ann cláir chearta a chur le chéile, nó go mbeadh cead againn iarracht a dhéanamh, fiú.  Maith dhúinn é sin.

ACH - Tá dóchas inár gcroí fós!  Beidh an baol imithe i gceann cúpla mí, le cuidiú Dé.  Agus tá muid ag súil go mór le Seachtain na Gaeilge in Esopus ag deireadh an tsamhraidh (30 Lúnasa - 5 Meán Fómhair). Nach mbeidh sé go hiontach ár seanchairde a fheiceáil agus taitneamh a bhaint as an nGaeilge bhinn aríst?

Feicfidh muid in Esopus sibh, le cuidiú Dé. Go dtí sin, bíodh sláinte agus táinte agaibh.

  A chairde,

As you know, we were forced to cancel our Fluent Speakers’ Weekend on Long Beach Island this year because of the deadly virus.  We were very disappointed and reluctant to take that step, but we really had no choice.  Now, we regret to announce that we have to make the same decision regarding the May Immersion Weekend in Esopus (May 15 - 17) and Satharn na nGael in Philadelphia (June 6th).  We simply are not confident that we could organize quality programs; nor are we certain that we would even have permission to proceed.  Please forgive us for the disappointment.

BUT - We live in hope!  With God’s help, the danger will have passed in a few months.  And we are very much looking forward to our Summer Immersion Week in Esopus at the end of the summer (August 30 - September 5).  Won’t it be wonderful to see all of our old friends and enjoy the sweet sounds of Irish again?

We’ll see you in Esopus, le cuidiú Dé. Until then, health and prosperity to one and all.
