Daltaí na Gaeilge (Students of the Irish Language) is a non-profit organization that provides a setting where students can learn and practice the Irish language in an atmosphere where “Irish” is the “First” language. We offer Irish Language Immersion Programs throughout the year in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

“Satharn na nGael”, the shortest of the immersion courses, consists of language classes and lectures as well as workshops for such things as music, singing and dancing.

The “Satharn na nGael” is oriented to beginners but intermediate and advanced classes will also be available. The only requirement for attendance is a desire to learn and a willingness to comply with the Rule: Irish will be spoken at all times, to the best of one’s ability. (Don’t worry, English speaking guides will be available.) Participation in language classes is mandatory. Lectures and workshops are optional.

This program receives funding support from the Fulbright Commission in Ireland and the Irish Government’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.
