A chara, Daltaí na Gaeilge is pleased to announce that we will be returning to Jamison, Pennsylvania for our next Irish Language Immersion Weekend which will be held from November 9th to 11th, 2007. This weekend will close out our 27th year of service to the Irish-speaking community. |
As is our custom, the program for this weekend will combine formal Irish classes with practical and entertaining opportunities to learn and live the language. All students are invited to participate; and classes will be offered for every level of ability. We are always happy to welcome beginners; and classes will be arranged especially for them. |
|
Language classes on Saturday and Sunday are mandatory for all participants, but we will also offer a full range of other optional activities. For instance, after registration on Friday evening we will offer a crash phrase course and an opportunity to learn a song or two in Irish. We will also have a "seisiún" to allow attendees to talk and get acquainted while enjoying traditional Irish music. Bring you musical instruments. Between classes on Saturday, various workshops will be offered covering different aspects of Irish culture, history, music and dance. Mass will also be celebrated in Irish on Saturday for those who choose to attend; and a Céilí will be held later that evening with live music, dancing and entertainment. |
