Hi there. Recently I have started collecting Manx words and putting together a Manx-Irish dictionary. Recently I came across a word which represents what would be simply termed a "three year old sheep" (aahannid). There seems to be an abundance of such words in Manx, describing animals and their various characteristics in a single word or term. Are there any sources or glossaries available which lists these terms in Irish? I am a fluent speaker of Irish but unfortunately I am not a native speaker - and as we know such terms are generally better known amongst the native speakers. Dictionaries, glossaries, etc. tend to focus more on the more common terms for the generic animal, and not on age, usability, etc. I would be very appreciative of any help, and perhaps we could create a list or something here showing the names and their particular meanings, lest they be forgotten to others.
