I thought I remembered reading some time ago that Micheál Ó Siadhal's 'Learning Irish' had been translated into German and Polish, but I can't find any trace of it. Anyone know anything about this?

Alternatively, does anyone know of any learners' materials for Irish in Polish? Any help appreciated!

There's "An Ghaeilge" by Aidan Doyle and Edmund Gussman

It's the best book I've ever come across for learning the Irish language. You can find them for sale at Litríocht.

Also, there was a Yahoo group a few years ago that worked through this book but it no longer exists. The group was a roaring success because the moderators of the group answered all questions and were kind enough to translate pretty much the entire book into English.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh, a chairde!

A friend of a friend is Polish and wants to learn a little Irish, just to kind of get a handle on things. Having looked at the links provided, I think I'll urge him to get 'An Ghaeilge' and download the free audio and pdf of Dillon's TY Irish since they both oriented toward Munster.

Thanks again, lads.

If you friend-of-friend is able to understand Russian, he may try this little grammar book:

It's very brief though and not free of errors.
