Chaith mé an chead seachtain i nGleann Colm Cille, agus seachtain 2 's 3 i Gleann Fhinne, idir Baile Feich agus Na Gleannta. D'fhoghlaim a lán Gaeilge agus bhí an chead taithí agam gaeilge a labhairt. Níl mé ach ag foghlaim go foill, ach tá stórfocail nua agam, agus ba mhaith liom é a usaid. It is sad that only Spanish and very occasionally French are offered at schools and universities in my state, and unfortunately, even if there were other languages offered, I feel it would not be Gaeilge that would be included. But there are lots of Irish people and people of Irish decent here in upstate SC.
I wish I could have had an Irish Language course at my university so I could have gone to a Gaeltacht for the summer. Too bad there isn't something for those who study on their own or are already graduated...
But this is a wonderful site, and it is great to see someome doing this very thing. Thank you for sharing it!
