Síle Seoige's recent Twitter exploits reminded me of this saying.One day - fadó fadó - my sister was telling an elderly female relative about the benefits of feminism,including learning about orgasms etc.she had to explain the term,needless to say.


But the old dear wasn't a bit put out, 'Ye didn't invent that you know.We used to call it "catching the boat" indeed'

There were some Irish tags and captions like 'Síle ag teacht,tháinig Síle' but Iwondered was the boat reference found originally i nGaeilge? Unlikely tobe in written sources,I would have thought!
