'go hanam' - I'm glad you wrote that, because it's what I would have expected, but the speaker is definitely saying "go anam". Thanks for all your corrections. I still don't understand the significance of "go hanam na bhFlaitheas", though.

SeanW: I think you are right, it does seem to have a life of its own. In addition to the variations found on the CD from different priests, I have also heard two different Latin versions.
