Cad is brí le ma línte seo?

"Loscadh sléibhe agus scalladh cléibhe
ar an áit a éagadar is milléan crua"

Tuigim 'Loscadh sléibhe' ach nílim cinnte cad atá i gceist sna línte go hiomlán.

Tuigim go bhfuil liricí Béarla ar fáil (http://www.cranfordpub.com/langan/anac_cuan.htm) ach ní hé sin an rud cheana

loscadh sléibhe = wildfire
scalladh cléibhe = stinging pain in the chest
éagadar = they died
milleán crua = severe censure

Tuigim sin go maith. Ach ní thuigim conas go ndéanfadh scalladh cléibhe, más cliabhrach duine atá i gceist, dochar do áit.

Nó an amhlaidh atá an file ag guí go dtiocfadh scalladh cléibhe ar aoinne a leagan cos ar an áit?

Tá go maith.

Bhíos féin ag ceapadh go raibh ciall ar leith leis; ag smaoineamh ar chliabhán a bhíos, i. an file ag guí nach rugfaí aoinne ann riamh arís, mar shampla. Is dócha go rabhas ró chasta i mo thuairimí.

Recte: "nach mbéarfaí", "go deo arís", "róchasta".
