Just a small question: which do you think would be more beneficial for a learner?? Queen's University Belfast offers both....
Are there any other places in Belfast to learn Irish that you'd recommend?

Might be helpful to get feedback from someone who has already done this.

I think the main problem with 'one to one' is there's nowhere to go if its not working out- whereas,in a small group,there's bound to be a person you hit it off with.

I'mnot really sure how to phrase this : you don't want a tutor who is too democratic and inclined to lapse into friendly chit chat as Béarla!

I think I'd go with the group for a start.This would give you the basics and give you a chance to see what the language is like. It would also probably be less expensive. Then to polish up what you have, I'd switch to private lessons.
