I am taking a Daltaí class and last night my teacher mentioned that the first conversation in the first Buntús Cainte book is recited as somewhat of a joke at the local immersion weekends. She said that they even have T-shirts with the conversation printed on them. I was looking around for one of these but was unable to find one. Has anyone ever seen one? |

There are no more t-shirts from what I understand. Many, many years ago someone had them made up but wound up in some kind of issue over copyright infringement...that was the end of the shirts. They'd met their demise long before my own first Daltaí class, which was in 1997. That said, once you get some Gaeilge skills under your belt you could probably make your own at cafepress.com...although I wouldn't recommend you selling them or making them for other than your own, personal use. |

Oh bummer... Maybe I will have to try cafepress.com. Any chance you started taking your Daltaí classes at Brookdale? |

I think some of the later conversations and pics are pretty funny. For instance, Pádraig's pipe disappearing because little Séan is smoking it. I'd like to have ceacht 38 (with the picture) printed on a shirt. "Féach, tá sé thall ar an stól faoin gcaipín." LOL. Of course, I am a pipe smoker, and also I remember smoking my dad's pipes (and cigarettes) when I was a lad, so it's especially funny to me. Le gach beannacht, Séamas
